Colour – Glorious Colour! Stampin’ Up!® Colour Revamp 2018

A revamp is different from a refresh. The last colour revamp from Stampin’ Up!® was back in 2010 and the last colour refresh was 2013. The difference between a revamp and refresh is that a revamp is a major overhaul of the colour offerings while a refresh is a tweak (just a few colour changes).

Stampin’ Up! now offers 53 colour options for you to choose from. This is three more than past years as a new collection named Basics has been added. This is where you will find the staple items we all need, Whisper White, Very Vanilla and Basic Black.

In Colour Collections and Returning In Colours

The In Colour system has not changed. In June every year a new In Colour range of five colours will be released and the two year old collection will retire. The revamp has seen previous In Colours return as part of the core colour collection. These are Mossy Meadow, Poppy Parade, Flirty Flamingo, Coastal Cabana, Mint Macaron and Blackberry Bliss. Check out all 53 current colours below.

Stampin’ Up! and Colour

The previous collections have been changed. Now each collection has a colour spectrum element and includes colours that work best together. Over time colour trends change. Stampin’ Up! does the hard work for us by keeping up with what is happening in the world of colour and images. When the new In Colour’s are released each year you will find them in furnishings, clothes and home decor just released as well. You might have also noticed if foxes or owls are the latest thing Stampin’ Up! has a stamp set released that year as well keeping us up to date with images as well as colours. If you watched Harry and Meghan’s wedding you would have seen the Queen wearing a lovely Lemon Lime Twist coloured dress (2017 – 2019 In Colour).

I love that Stampin’ Up! makes it easy for me to be on trend. Have some colours retired that I loved – Yes! Are all my past favourite In Colours returned – No! Is the new colour collections giving me lots of possibilities – A Big Yes!

One of my favourite changes in the revamp is the Neutrals collection. It is no longer just variations of Black, White and Brown. Merry Merlot, Mossy Meadow and Night of Navy have been added to the palette. I’m looking forward to playing and creating with the new revamped colour collection.
