2. Turn and with the 12″ inch side at the top score from top to bottom at 2″ and 10″.
Diagram 2
1. Mark a small score or pencil mark along one 11″ side at 7/8″, 2-5/8″, 4-3/8″, 6-1/8″, 7-7/8″, 9-5/8″. This will be the top of your bottle cover.
2. Cut from each mark diagonally to the 2″ score line to form triangles.
3. Cut along score lines at bottom up to 10″ score line to make flaps. Trim the small flap edges top and bottom leaving the long middle section for putting the sleeve together.
4. Punch holes at the top of triangle flaps for the ribbon.
5. Put Cover Together
6. Burnish along all score lines. If you are going to decorate sides with Designer Series Paper do this now.
7. Tape along flap and attach to the inside of the opposite side to make a hexagon shaped sleeve.
8. Attach the bottom flaps to each other to form the base. It is easy if you have a bottle inside the sleeve when you do this.
9. If you want to draw and cut a hexagon shape using your cover as a guide to give a tidy finish. Tip! If you are going to be making a few covers create a hexagon template to use.
