Shipping Halt to New Zealand

Stampin’ Up!® has decided to put a shipping halt to New Zealand for the next three weeks in place. This will take effect from Midnight Thursday 2 April. Please DON’T Panic Buy. This is to help New Zealand’s postal and courier systems not get overloaded and make sure priority and essential goods get through. You can still order and the Australian warehouse will pack it but it will remain in the distribution centre.

But Craft Supplies are Essential!

The act of crafting is essential for some of us and a great coping mechanaism for others. The majority, if not all of us have plenty of supplies at home. Look at this as a way to finish all those projects you started and dust off some retired stock that has been forgotten. Although we love our adhesives the supermarket does sell them if you run out.

Will the Shipping Halt to New Zealand Only Be For Three Weeks?

The answer is hopefully. It will be reviewed and if necessary extended. In three weeks time the New Zealand Government will have a much better idea of what is happening within the country regarding the spread of the virus. Also they will be able to see if the Courier and Postal Systems can take on more work, what the capacity is for freighting products in via plane and many other things.

In the meantime – Craft! Craft! Craft! and Stay Safe, Stay Home. Maybe talk to that nice person who has been seen more and more often in your lounge lately.
